Javad Abedini - Series 1 & 2

Javad Abedini is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of Mechanical Engineering, a per-course professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) and a learning technology coach at the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). Javad has a wealth of experience in conducting research, performing data analysis, media post-processing, and content design. His primary area of focus is on integrating innovative technologies into the teaching process, which has helped to enhance the learning experience for both instructors and students in remote and in-person teaching environments. Furthermore, Javad is adept at delivering engaging webinars and workshops to equip instructors with the latest methods for creating a productive learning environment.

Timilehin Oguntuyaki - Series 1, 2 & 3

Timilehin Oguntuyaki is a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Science program at Memorial University, where he is studying geological CO2 sequestration using mine tailings. He is also a Learning Technology Coach at the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL). At the CITL, he facilitates workshops and supports faculty in using and implementing new technologies in their courses. He has experience with researching and reporting the features of teaching and learning technologies. Timilehin enjoys teaching and demystifying complex concepts.

Verena Kalter - Series 3

Verena is a PhD candidate at the Ocean Sciences Centre at MUN, where she is studying the effects of oil pollution on cold ocean animals. As a Learning Technology Coach at the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning she likes to focus on helping faculty better connect with students. She believes that this connection is key to creating engaging learning environments, and that technology can be a means of making education more accessible and effective for everyone.
